Proofreading

What is proofreading?

Proofreading is generally the last step before you publish your work.

This is where any errors that were missed in previous edits or reviews will get caught and fixed.

No matter how good you are at writing, editing, or in fact, proofreading, it’s always a good idea to have a second pair of eyes on your work – the more familiar you are with something, the more your brain will fill in the gaps or skip over typos and incorrect words. That’s just how the human brain works.

I had someone proofread this entire website before it went live (and there may still be errors – if you spot one let know!). Even proofreaders need proofreaders!

Proofreading services are offered for Microsoft Word documents (track changes) and PDFs (Adobe Acrobat commenting and/or proofreader’s marks) as standard. Please contact me if you have documents in other formats that you would like help with.
